Glen Cove High School Select Choral was invited to sing at the Vatican for the Pope.

What an amazing opportunity!

Our President: Phyllis O. Burnett jumped into action to help find additional funding to help these kids . . knowing this would help so many .

So with help of club members, we solicited everyone and were able to direct private donations totaling over $35,000.00 for the G.C.H.S. Music Department for express use for this trip.  It was unforgettable!

Singing at the Vatican and meeting the Pope was remarkable and spiritual adventure for the students and chaperones who made this historic trip.

Kiwanis club of Glen Cove holiday donation:

Every year our club pools its resources from local organizations and locates a family in need that we can assist during the holidays.

We attempt to help these families in the ways they need and not what we feel is needed.

This year, a family who chose to be anonymous, as their family has very young children who still believe . .  They were grateful for the gifts that we purchased on their behalf.   We wrapped the gifts for them and happily complied by marking them from the Jolly Ole Elf.

We also provided gift card to a local grocery store to help with a couple of meals.
